Frequently Asked Questions
The BTT is an essential exam for aspiring drivers in Singapore, testing their knowledge of traffic rules and road signs.
To sit for the BTT, you must be at least 18 years old, provide valid identification, and pass a vision sight test and color blindness test.
You can prepare for the BTT by studying the official handbook on traffic rules and road signs and by taking practice tests. Our platform offers practice tests to help you familiarize yourself with the exam format and content.
The BTT consists of 50 multiple-choice questions.
You need to answer at least 45 questions correctly to pass, achieving a score of 90% or higher.
The BTT covers Singapore’s traffic rules, road signs, and regulations, including topics like right of way, road markings, speed limits, overtaking rules, and traffic control devices.
Applicants get 50 minutes to complete the test.
If you fail the Singapore BTT, you can reapply and take the exam at the next available time slot. However, we recommend you prepare well before taking the exam to avoid retaking it. Take our practice tests, which will help you easily pass the exam.
After passing the BTT, you can obtain a provisional driving license (learner’s license). You will then need to undergo driving lessons, pass the Final Theory Test (FTT), complete three simulator tests, and finally pass the practical driving test to obtain a Qualified Driving License (QDL).
